Western Civ Make-Up Day
I was out the past days and was sick so today I read up on Egypt and took notes. I also started studying for the Mesopotamia Quiz I am taking tomorrow. I learned that the Nile cause good things and bad things to the Egyptians. It helped flood the soil which made it very rich but at the same time when there wasn't enough water people starved from the drought. The deserts around Egypt created natural barriers for the Egyptians. The river also provided transportation for the people. The Egyptians believed and worshiped Pharaohs and that was their government. They buried the dead pharaohs in pyramids and they also mummified them which is preserving their bodies. As Egyptians they developed calendars and believed in an afterlife.
